Auditable evidence

What is auditable evidence?

Auditable evidence is a digital record that proves when, where, and how an operational event happened, with data that can be verified later. In workplace safety, this evidence documents compliance with Brazil's NR safety standards (NRs) and provides an objective basis for incident investigations and for internal and external audits.

Auditable means verifiable by a third party: the record carries the date, time, location, and context, and it doesn’t depend on anyone’s memory. That’s the difference between a spreadsheet entry filled in after the fact and data generated automatically at the moment the event happened, kept intact and traceable.

In industry, auditable evidence comes into play at critical moments: proving that an area inspection took place, reconstructing the timeline of an incident, or showing internal or external auditors that safety procedures were followed. What used to require collecting statements and scattered documents is now available in minutes.

The benefits go beyond NR compliance. With objective data, safety talks become more precise, investigations identify causes based on what actually happened, and the company builds a history that protects both itself and its workers. Responsible data collection matters: records should be limited to what is necessary and comply with the LGPD (Brazil’s data protection law).

On the PHYGITALL platform, every Smartbadge event becomes auditable evidence for risk management: emergency calls, area alerts, and presence in the field, each one time-stamped and tied to a location, with no audio or video recording.
